Biswabharati Club defeated Juvenile Club by 71 runs in the final to won the 2nd Mangala Cup All-Orissa Cricket Tournament and top prize of Rs 20,000 at Sunshine ground in Cuttack today. Orissa Cricket Association (OCA) secretary Asirbad Behera gave away the trophy and cash prizes at the closing ceremony.
The runner-up side took home Rs 15,000.Goutam Sahoo, Tukuna Sahu, Rashmi Ranjan Das and Tapan Behera were adjudged the man of the match, man of the tournament, best batsman and best bowler respectively. Off-spinner Bhabatosh Paramanik, who bagged 20 wickets for Orissa under-16 team this season, was felicitated on the occasion with a cash award of Rs 10,000.
OCA vice-presidents Naba Ranjan Patnaik, joint-secretaries Khitish Chandra Samantaray, Sanjib Dutta, host Jhanjiri Mangala Kishore Club president Rabindra Bastia and secretary Satya Mohanty were present at the closing function.
